Welcome to the Birth Centre. A friendly environment for all women expecting a normal birth. Our staff wear their own clothes or blue theatre uniforms

We offer lots of birth props to help you adopt a range of positions during your labour and birth.Two of our rooms have ceiling swings to support your weight if you stand-up to help your birth.

A typical labour room with dimmed lighting. We want to create a calm and intimate environment for your birth.

All our rooms are spacious and offer the freedom to move around even if you choose to have continuous monitoring during labour.

Our rooms can be changed around to enable you to use the birthing ball, the birthing stool or the floor mat. All our beds can be pushed to the side of the room or go up and down.

Eastenders visit - Christmas 2005

Children �� and their parents � couldnt believe their eyes when stars from their favourite soap paid a visit to Riddell and Malcolm wards.

Joe Swash, who plays Mickey Miller, was born at the Royal Free and, more recently, treated at the hospital for viral meningitis and decided to pay the Children�s wards a visit.

Cast members Mohammed George (Gus Smith), Joe Swash (Mickey Miller), Kara Tointon (Dawn Swann), Charlie Hawkins (Darren Miller), Shana Swash (Demi Miller), James Alexandrou (Martin Fowler) meet patient Hafsah Gulrez.
