Chairman of trust appointed

Dominic Dodd, who has been interim chairman of the trust since June 2009, has been confirmed in the role for the next four years.

Mr Dodd, who has lived in Hampstead for 15 years, was formerly an executive director of the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, one of the world’s largest private foundations which funds programmes to improve the lives of children living in poverty in developing countries. Dominic Dodd

Before that he was a managing partner of Marakon Associates, an international strategy consulting firm, where for 18 years he advised the chief executives and senior management of some of the best-performing companies in the UK, continental Europe and the United States. He maintains a part-time role as an independent strategy advisor.
 
His appointment was made in accordance with the Office of the Commissioner for Public Appointments’ Code of Practice. All non-executive appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process.   However, in accordance with the original Nolan recommendations, there is a requirement for appointees’ political activity (if any declared) to be made public. He has declared no political activity within the past five years and holds no other ministerial appointments.

Mr Dodd receives remuneration of £23,366 a year for the role.
