Clinical neuro-psychology - How to refer

Referrals are via consultant only for out-patient neuropsychological assessments.

Referrals for the acute in-patient and community neuro-rehabilitation services are accepted via other members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Exclusions for all clinical neuropsychology services:

Unfortunately, we cannot accept referrals for patients where the following apply:

• The patient is under 16
• The patient is currently experiencing florid psychosis
• The patient is severely or terminally ill
• The patient has a systemic infection
• The patient has a severe behavioural disorder
• The patient was assessed less than six months ago
